Every week 600 people in the UK are given the life changing news they have epilepsy. 

That’s why we’ve launched the ‘6 for the 600’ Challenge – to help raise funds to ensure vital research into epilepsy continues, providing help for today and hope for tomorrow for the 600 diagnosed this week. And next week. And the week after… Will you help them? All you need to do is think of a challenge around the number 6, 60… or even 600 if you’re feeling brave!

The activity can be anything you choose – baking 6 cakes, running 6km a day for 6 days, cycling 60 miles in a week, skipping for 60 mins, bouncing 600 times on a trampoline, stair climbing 60 times a day, painting 6 paintings and auctioning them… the choices are endless. As long as you’re following government guidelines you can be as imaginative as you like. Get inspired here.

Along with the care I received, I know that it was research that saved me. I feel so fortunate to be able to live without the effects of epilepsy now and I do not take this for granted.

Once you’ve decided on your activity you can set up a JustGiving page or a Facebook Fundraiser to get everyone supporting your challenge.
