Simon Osborn is a veteran Epilepsy Research UK fundraiser. Simon started fundraising for the charity due to a friend’s child having epilepsy and then continued after he was diagnosed with epilepsy himself. This year Simon walked the whole length of the Thames. It was a tremendous effort and when I met Simon in Hammersmith towards the end of his walk he was looking absolutely exhausted – but he kept going. Today I went to collect the cheque for the walk and it turned out to be as big as Simon’s heart. He had raised a massive £1,645. Today I also met Trisha Tibbetts from the Tibbetts Group where Simon works. It was tremendous to meet Trisha as she and her colleagues at the Tibbetts Group have been unfailingly supportive of Simon and his fundraising over the years. Trisha turned out to accompany Simon on one of the hottest days of his walk and completed 11km herself. It was great to meet Simon again, who is already planning his fundraising for 2018, and a real pleasure to meet Trisha whose support of Simon and Epilepsy Research UK makes a real difference.Click here to see what some of our other dedicated fundraisers have been up to.
