Last week saw our second collaboration event with Brain Research UK and Brain Tumour Research – the #BrainathlonHalf! Individuals and families across the UK took part in the virtual walk, run and climb triathlon to raise vital funds for neuro research.

Following the phenomenal success of the first Brainathlon earlier this year, it was wonderful to see supporters of three leading neuro charities come together once again to raise money for such important causes. All week, dedicated Brainathloners have been clocking up the required 13.1 miles walking, running, and climbing to complete the challenge.

Our very own Head of Development and Events, Mehreen, took part with her children. “BrainathlonHalf has been a fantastic way to get the kids involved in fundraising this half term. They’ve loved seeing their totals go up every day and seeing who can reach their target the quickest! Having people in our family living with epilepsy, we know how important research is to ensure there are fewer interruptions to their lives.”

This year, a staggering £70,000 has been raised through our Brainathlon series!

On behalf of Epilepsy Research UK, Brain Tumour Research and Brain Research UK, we would like to say a HUGE thank you and congratulations to everyone who took part in the #BrainathlonHalf.

If you took part in the #BrainathlonHalf last week we would LOVE to see your photos, please do either share on social with the hashtag #BrainathlonHalf or send via email to [email protected].
