Matt certainly read the ‘challenge’ part of the #6forthe600 challenge, setting himself a seriously tough goal while raising vital funds for research.
Matt chose to take a minimum of 6000 steps a day, for 60 days (a massive 360,000 steps!), and also do 36 gym sessions and complete a 16 mile walk a day for six days while doing the West Highland Way in mid-September (96 miles in total!)
600 people are diagnosed with a form of epilepsy every week so I’m going to try and raise some awareness as it is a nasty old thing that has affected me quite a bit recently.
Matt not only smashed his fundraising target of £500 by raising an incredible £935, but he also completed the West Highland Way walk two days early: seems like he’ll have to think of an even bigger challenge next time! Our greatest thanks to Matt and his walking companions for everything they’ve done to raise this phenomenal money for Epilepsy Research UK.
