Diane & Andrea

Diane and Andrea trained for weeks to take part in Race to the King – a 53.5-mile, double marathon hike from Goodwood to Winchester over the South Downs Way.

The pair were walking in memory of Alistair “Ali” Kerr who tragically passed away in April, aged just 27. By taking part in this challenge, they wanted to celebrate Ali’s life and raise some much-needed funds to ensure other families might be spared such a heart-breaking loss. Neither had walked this far before but they were determined to complete the full distance, and they did just that!

Diane and Andrea are thrilled to have raised an incredible £1200 for Epilepsy Research UK, far surpassing their original target of £500.

This is a cause that has obviously touched the hearts of so many. It was a very hard walk for us and the last 10 miles were a challenge, but it was a wonderful feeling when we crossed the line at Winchester Cathedral.

Thank you so much to Diane and Andrea for being such superstar supporters.
