John and Nancy Bettelley, long-standing supporters of Epilepsy Research UK in memory of their son Andrew tell us about their latest fundraiser: “In November, the good people of Blackheath were asked to donate items for a Bags and Baubles sale extravaganza, and they responded magnificently! We were overwhelmed with countless Gucci bags, Hermès scarves, gloves, belts, pashminas, and costume jewellery. The sale was held in the newly refurbished Community Library, and was hugely supported on a very rainy day. It was jointly organised by supporters of Epilepsy Research UK (the Andrew Bettelley Memorial Fund), and the local group supporting Cystic Fibrosis Trust. Each charity received £1,600.”

Many thanks to John and Nancy Bettelley, Mary Bright and the Greenwich Cystic Fibrosis Trust fundraising group for organising such a successful sale, and to Sir Ian Mills, Chair of Age Exchange Blackheath for donating use of the venue for the Bags and Baubles Extravaganza.
