Last week we held our second sell-out #MoreThanSeizures webinar. The ‘Change Makers’ session featured people with lived experience of epilepsy and ERUK-funded researchers whose work has influenced policy and clinical practice.

Our fantastic guest speakers included:

  • Ngawai Moss, who spoke about living with epilepsy and taking part in research
  • Dr Rebecca Bromley, whose pioneering research has influenced guidance on prescription medicine for women with epilepsy of childbearing age
  • Dr Gashirai Mbizvo, whose research has helped change policy on epilepsy-related deaths
  • Dr Umesh Vivekananda, who is using submarine technology to revolutionise epilepsy diagnosis

The webinar was once again a huge success, with all 100 places for the session fully booked and fantastic interaction from the audience, who were able to pose questions to the panellists.

If you missed it – don’t worry, you can watch the full webinar below.

Whether you’re living with epilepsy, a researcher or just interested to learn more, we hope you found it as interesting as we did!

Our guest speakers have also featured on our #ERUKResearchBlog this month – you can read more about research and the potential life changing impact for people with epilepsy in their blogposts here.
