ANNOUNCING OUR 2021 RESEARCH AWARDS
To kick off the week, on Monday 24th May we will be sharing the exciting and essential new research projects that have been awarded funding in our 2021 grant round. Despite the numerous challenges charities have faced this year, Epilepsy Research UK is thrilled to be able to continue funding vital research thanks to the generosity and determination of our supporters.

COFFEE WITH CRONUTT THE SEA LION
Yes, that’s right – a sea lion with epilepsy! Join us at 4pm on Tuesday to hear from Professor Scott Baraban from the University of California San Francisco, who has been able to gift Cronutt the Sea Lion a life free from epilepsy through the power of research! This live webinar will be hosted by Epilepsy Research UK Trustee and Professor of Translational Neuroscience at UCL, Stephanie Schorge.

HOT TOPICS WEBINAR: THE FACTS ON CANNABINOIDS & EPILEPSY
At 2pm on Wednesday, we’re bringing together two experts on cannabinoids and epilepsy to learn the facts on this contentious but important topic. Journalist Andrew Peaple hosts this special Hot Topics webinar and is joined by Kishan Vyas, Associate Medical Director at GW Pharmaceuticals, and Epilepsy Research UK President, Professor Helen Cross OBE.

To conclude the week, we will be catching up with our Trustee, Joe Brice, on the Research Blog. Joe will discuss how the charity has adapted to the pandemic to continue driving and enabling the best research into epilepsy. We’ll also hear from some incredible longstanding supporters, who have been fundraising for Epilepsy Research UK for over 25 years.
