That’s right – it’s the highly anticipated return of the Brainathlon! Following the phenomenal success of the first-ever Brainathlon earlier this year (which saw super supporters raise over £60,000 for neuro research!) we’re back with the second event in the series…

What is the #BrainathlonHalf?

  • #BrainathlonHalf is a family-friendly relay challenge in collaboration with our friends at Brain Research UK and Brain Tumour Research.
  • As the name suggests, it’s half the size (but twice the fun!) of our previous Brainathlon! Walk 5 miles, run 7.5 miles and climb 0.6 miles (or 1, 250 individual stairs) during #BrainathlonHalf week – Monday 25th October – Sunday 31st October. If you raise over £100 you’ll receive your specially commissioned #BrainathlonHalf medal.
  • Take on the challenge by yourself or as part of a relay team of three; do all three parts on one day or break it up during the week – the choice is yours!
  • With every step you take (cue the ‘Brain Beats’ Spotify playlist, which is actually a thing!) you’ll be raising vital funds for three of the UK’s leading neuro research charities.

I took part in the Brainathlon to raise awareness and understanding of neurological conditions such as epilepsy. My brother has lived with epilepsy for almost all of his life, and I know how much it can affect the individual as well as their families. Hopefully, the funds raised will help research and treatment to make the lives of those affected by these conditions better now and in the future.” Claire

Whether you’re looking to get fired up and fighting fit, something fun to do with your mates, or thinking of a way to keep the kids occupied during October half term, the #BrainathlonHalf is the event for you.
