Our Annual Grant Round is now open – thanks to you!
Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, we are in the privileged position to open our annual grant funding round. Researchers throughout the UK will be able to apply for Fellowships, Projects and Pilot Studies that aim to provide help for today through clinical research improving treatments, and hope for tomorrow through lab-based studies seeking to prevent epilepsy.
We are also pleased to announce that our funding collaboration this year will be with the Tuberous Sclerosis Association, supporting a Fellowship for research investigating tuberous sclerosis complex (TSC)-associated epilepsy.
How you are helping to shape and improve the research we fund
People with lived experience of epilepsy are continuing to play a key role in supporting our grant assessments through our Shape Network Application Clinics. These sessions bring together researchers and people affected by epilepsy to enable discussion and debate about potential grant applications. This is a vital step in ensuring the research we fund has been rigorously assessed by experts by experience.
We’d like to say a huge THANK YOU for enabling us to continue funding vital research. We’ll keep you posted on the applications we receive aimed at developing exciting innovations for people living with epilepsy.
Meanwhile, you may be interested in hearing a bit more about how the applications process works, last year’s funded projects, an example of successful research and our impact…
