Claire Peaple passed away on 3rd August 2002 as a result of Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy, aged 25. Although we in her family knew she was living with epilepsy, her passing came as an immense shock. Claire had settled into living and working in London after graduating from Durham University and then spending a year in Buenos Aires, teaching English. She had so much to live for.

Claire was just a lovely, kind, generous, funny person who loved to be sociable, laughing along with friends and family. She enjoyed music and art, and had a beautiful singing voice. Few meal times with Claire would pass without everyone collapsing into giggles; no game could be played without Claire hilariously reinterpreting the rules; even her short messages and emails were funny and off-the-wall.

We miss her very much. We also know that there is still so much research to be done into epilepsy, and want to support that important work by setting up this fund with Epilepsy Research UK. Please leave a donation if you would like to do so.
