It’s National Epilepsy Week – we have exciting news to share…
Through the incredible efforts of our supporters over the last twelve months, we are delighted to announce that Epilepsy Research UK has been able to make £1.3 million available for our 2020 grant awards. This is the single largest amount we have awarded in almost thirty years of operating.
In this edition of Focus, we profile the new research projects selected by our Scientific Advisory Committee. This year we received over 70 high quality applications, and after a rigorous review process we awarded two Fellowships, four project grants, three pilot studies, and our first ever Céline Newman Bursary. Quite simply, this research would not take place without your support.

Throughout the week we will be highlighting how some of these projects relate to this year’s National Epilepsy Week theme – #MoreThanSeizures. There will also be plenty of ERUK activities to get involved with– whether it’s a webinar with ERUK funded researchers, an epilepsy quiz or our new ‘6 for the 600’ challenge for all the people diagnosed with epilepsy every week… check out we’ve got lined up here.
