Despite being very different to what we’re all used to and almost entirely virtual, what a lovely #PurpleDay the 2020 event was!

People and organisations from across the globe came together to raise funds and awareness, showing that the epilepsy community is stronger than ever.

Thank you to those who tweeted, liked and shared posts about Purple Day on social media and to everyone who has donated to our online fundraiser – our research would not be possible without the generosity and commitment of our supporters.

Among the people and organisations who came together for purple day was Curtis Gabriel – a UK-based social, digital and design agency. They shared a lively and insightful discussion between Director Simon Curtis and his colleague Matthew Rose about living with epilepsy.

A lot of people don’t realise how common epilepsy is… it effects a lot of people in the UK, a lot more than people realise.

Epilepsy Research UK would like to say a HUGE thank you to everyone involved in Purple Day 2020, from our Purple Partners in other epilepsy charities, to the researchers who donated their stunning images to our art sale, and of course, to our incredible supporters.
