What a fantastic day we had at the 2019 Great North Run!
30 dedicated members of #TeamERUK took to the streets of Newcastle for this epic half marathon and we had such a brilliant time cheering on the team.
Dan Allinson was running in memory of his brother Chris. He told ERUK, “My hope is to help raise as much money as possible to support life changing research in the field of epilepsy, so that hopefully one day others don’t have to go through what my family has been through these past few months.”
Great North Run done. 13.1 miles in Chris’ memory wearing the same shoes and (enormous) shorts as he did 2 years ago. Really emotional and tiring day. A big thanks to everyone who donated to my JustGiving page for Epilepsy Research Uk – I managed to raise approx. £1,500 for the charity! Another big thanks to all the family that ran today, as well as all of the Vision Properties lads. Between us all we managed to raise over £5,000.
Huge congratulations and thank you to everyone who took part.
We’re going all in for the 2020 #GreatNorthRun, with a marquee, cheer squad and after-party – there’ll even be a chance to sample some of the cheapest prosecco on the market!
